Duration: 9 days (Cutomizable Trip)
After breakfast we start our journey to Pokhara (your guide will be with for your whole trip). You can enjoy the scenery while driving on road following the Trisuli River where you might see people doing rafting. After around 6-7 hours (200km) drive you will reach beautiful and peaceful town Pokhara. Or you may take a 30 min flight to Pokhara enjoying the non-stop mountain scenery and valleys. A city with a large lake that offers us the magnificent views of various mountains. Dhaulagiri, the whole Annapurna range, Machhapuchre (Fishtail) amongst others. You will get another chance to do some last minute shopping for the trek and explore around the lake and town. (Overnight at hotel on BB basis).
We will start our drive to Kande after breakfast. Kande offers some great views of Himalayas. From here we will start our trek towards Pothana first. The trail is enjoyable throughout the villages. We will have some views of villages in the horizon. Continuing further will take us to Pitam Deurali, our lunch stop, after lunch we will walk to Forest camp. The trail is mostly inside the green forests of oak, maple, hemlock and rhododendron. The section includes some ups and downs and takes about 3-4 hours to reach Forest Camp. Forest camp is known as Kokar among local people.
We will have to walk inside the forest for another day but as we reach higher the vegetation changes with more rhododendron trees. This is another pleasant day for us letting us walk in the peaceful route. The trail is steep at the beginning however changes to gradual climbing after awhile. We will have some random views of snowy Himalayan peaks. The views of Machhapuchhre peak is superb from Low Camp. This is very small places with only couple of lodges opened for providing basic meals and accommodation to trekkers.
We have another pleasant walking here with stunning views of close Himalayas in front of us. As we climb higher the route also becomes open and spacious as there is no forest anymore. The trail continues through grasslands of high region with occasional rhododendron trees. Spotting the beautiful bird called Himalayan Monal; also known as the impeyan monal, impeyan pheasant and danphe in Nepali is easy around here. This is a colorful Himalayan bird represented as the national bird of Nepal. Finally, we will arrive to High Camp to spend a night here.
We will wake up early in the morning before the sun rises. The plan is to watch sunrise over the Himalayas. After breakfast we start trek to Base Camp for better views and photos. The trail is well marked through the grassland involves few steep sections. In overall this is moderate walk, not too easy and not too challenging as well. In summer season this area is full of yaks and sheep along with several yak herder’s huts. We will back to High camp for overnight.
We will have our last meal in Pokhara before heading to tourist Bus Park to catch our bus that will carry us to Kathmandu. (Or its possible to fly as well) The road is same that we took on our way to Pokhara. We will be driving via beautiful green hills, small countryside towns and thundering rivers.

This is our 3rd time engange with Sali & his team. Last week was our 1st hiking trip experience during Winter to Mardi Himal. It was awesome and the view was Majestic. We have no doubt after few times hiking with Sali, he took great care of us from the beginning until the end of the trip. He is not just the hiking guide but he became a friend to us. Once again I received a top notch trekking experience with Sali and Mountain World Treks. My fifth trek with Sali was in January this year on the Mardi Himal Trek. It was a truly wonderful experience walking through a beautiful forest and then having the breath taking views of the snow covered Himalayas including the Annapurnas and Mt. Fishtail. As usual, Sali took excellent care of me, always being the consummate guide with knowledge and expert advice. I was a little nervous about negotiating the trails coming down with all the ice and snow. However, Sali, who thinks of everything, provided crampons to make the descent almost easy! Hopefully, I will be back again to do another trek and will definitely use Sali for anywhere I go in Nepal!

I did 5 Trek's (Annapurna Basecamp, Mardi Himal, Annapurna Circuit, LangTang& Gosainkunda and Everest Basecamp) and one Climbing Tour to Lobuche Peak in 2,5 months with Mountain World Trek's and couldn't be happier with my choice. From managing and preparing the documents before entering the country of Nepal, over professional advisory to the Trek's and Equipment to excellent guiding during the Trek: Saligram Aryal and his Team did an amazing Job at all time. I did all the Trek's with Saligram himself except from LangTang & Gosainkunda. This Trek I did with Sudip Aryal, the Senior Guide in the company. Sudip was also very experienced and has a great talent to know the needs of his client. Especially when I was catching a cold and felt bad, I felt in best hands! At the Everest Base Camp Trek the Porter Tek Lamichhane also joint our group. He was not only carrying some of our stuff, he also took great care of our food-ordering and made sure our rooms were clean and the water bottles are always full. Besides that Tek always has a joke ready to drop and he taught us some nepalese words/sentences.You can feel there is a good atmosphere in the company and a good cooperation between the guys and the whole team. The perfect combination of professionell guiding, a lot of background information about the country and the culture and most important: a good sense of humour and a lot of fun!! This was a lifetime experience for me and I'm so happy that I could share it with some people I like. I can totally recommend the Services of Mountain World Treks and I'm sad my adventures together with them are over for now. But I will come back and will be happy to do other Trekking/Climbing Tours with them. Thank you Sali Dai for everything! I was looking for a Guide and found a really good friend!

My family and I visited Nepal for two weeks and wanted to introduce the kids (8 and 12 years old) to some trekking. After a lot of Internet searching, we chose the Mardi Himal trek. The 6 day trek that goes through beautiful rhododendron forest for the first couple of days, then above the tree limit with stunning views of the Annapurna mountain, was quite hard at times bit definitely doable – also with kids. We were recommended to use Mountain World Treks to help us arrange the trip and provide guide and porters. We had the best trip and both guides and porters were extremely helpful and friendly throughout the trip. We will surely use their services next time we visit Nepal for new adventures!

We have two daughters - 9 and 11 - and we had a brilliant hike up to more than 4,000m. Wonderful guides, really great views and the hiking was great but not too tough. They balanced out the distance perfectly, so our kids had fun. Recommend family groups taking a pony too, in case any of the kids get tired. So yes, I highly recommend this!

Mardi Himal is a moderate hike but it has a great scenery with stunning view compared to ABC. We loved it and will surely return again! During the trek, our guide Mr Sali was excellent and professional -he spoke in good English, has a good sense of humor and it felt like we were accompanied by a long known friend. Everything was well prepared during the trek. We will definitely recommend Mountain World Treks ! Mardi Himal Trek
